Inspiration

Today I am Grateful For~

• The sound of the rain while I'm sleeping.
• Plenty of food.
• Richard talking about sending Shaina and I to OK when my niece, Britney has her baby.
• Our first joint Savings Acct.
• Our decision that all overtime goes into that account.
• Planning for the things we need and want [a whole new strategy for us].
• Inspired thought.
• An idea for an awesome charity. Yesterday I went to a baby shower, where the Mom-to-be received enough gifts for 3 babies. As I saw doubles of many of the gifts I thought of what she could do with the excess gifts, rather than return them. One could give the extras to an organization that helps unwed mothers, or moms and babies. Then I realized it could be a charity all on it's own. It would help low-income moms, single mothers, people who've lost their homes, etc. Getting the word out would be easy just send information to every OB-GYN office, Women's Center and Hospital. Moms could sign up to be Givers or Receivers. Mom's who sign up to be Givers could be given pre-printed cards to put in invitations and thank you notes. They could even offer guests the opportunity to bring an extra gift for a baby or mom in need.
• Knowing that I could totally make this happen. From setting up a 501C3, to making calls garnering support, to finding resources...I have the skills necessary to get this project started, and up and running!
• That the timing couldn't be more perfect, due to my reduced schedule this Fall.
• Knowing that I will be able to enlist the aid of others to take over when I go back to a full schedule in Winter.
