Oliver! Wrap up.

Today I am Grateful For~

  • The whole experience of being in Oliver! from the auditions in the Fall to the striking of the set last Sunday. I've learned so much about myself and have developed a confidence on stage that will enable me to be part of other productions. Who knows, I may even grow into being comfortable enough for a lead role at some point.

  • The HFCC Music Department and how it is inclusionary instead of exclusionary. And how it offers those who are truly interested in music, yet haven't had a priviliged background {piano lessons, voice lessons, playing in the band at school, etc.} the opportunity to learn and perform.

  • The continual support of the cast members, who were instructive and kind to me. Everyone was helpful and friendly, I could not have asked for a more awesome experience and I cannot say enough about how nurtured and guided I felt by my fellow actors, what a caring group of people!

  • Richard, Shaina, Michelle, Julie, Shanan, Kari, Sarah, Cindy, Anne, Chelsea, Taylor, Kris, Adam, Mom & Dad R., Vicki, all of whom, took time out of busy lives to come see me perform (some driving at least an hour to do so!).

  • Michelle & Julie who drove out from Howell after driving to Roscommon and back (3 hours up and 3 hours back), now that's friendship!!

  • The cast members who showed up for an impromptu bonfire at my house after the show last Friday night.

  • Richard coming home a day early from a business trip and surprising me by showing up for last Saturday night's performance.

  • Having a contact list for the cast member's so that we can keep in touch.

  • Finding my niche in our community after 14 years of living here!

  • The excitement of developing relationships with like minded people.
  • New experiences with theater on the horizon.
  • You, superstar, You.

Love, Sharon
