Gratitude Thurs thru Sat Afternoon

• Today (TH) I am Grateful for ~
  
  Spring Break, yay!
  
  My Music Appreciation class being cancelled today, giving me time to type up an assignment due before the break.
  
  Going on my first train ride tomorrow.
  
  Today (FRI) I am Grateful for ~
  
  Richard dropping me off at the train station.
  
  Being well prepared for my trip.
  
  Seeing cool old-fashioned train stations.
  
  Conductors that still wear uniforms (hats and all).
  
  Finding out at the train station that my professor from last semester, Dr. Friedman, was joining us.
  
  Sharing a cab with Professor Sayre and Dr. Friedman.
  
  Having my cab fare paid.
  
  Being going to dinner with the professor group and going to a great used bookstore with them afterwards.
  
  Pat, Professor Sayre's sister, who offered me some french fries when it turned out that my meal was tiny.
  
  Being included in the group and them telling me stories about each other (to get me up to speed).
  
  Joking and teasing right along with them.
  
  Feeling like I belonged.
  
  A great conversation with Dr. Abraham's wife Lisa.
  
  Time alone in the hotel room to take a hot bath and relax.
  
  Today (SAT) I am Grateful for ~
  
  The Chicago Art Institute.
  
  Seeing a lot of ancient artifacts (as early as 300BC).
  
  Being with the Instructors group again.
  
  Spending four hours in the museum.
  
  Seeing:
  
  Sections of a wall from Pompeii, Grecian urns, beautiful ancient glass and jewelry, an Egyptian sarcophagus, ancient Roman and Greek statues.
  
  Being with people that I could ask questions of regarding some of the exhibits.
  
  Standing on the steps of the Art Institute looking out at the city, the beautiful buildings, the traffic, the people and thinking, "This is the life I've always wanted to live and I'm here because I earned it. I manifested this!"
